LOS ANGELES (Universal Music) The world's best-selling multi-artist album series, NOW THAT'S WHAT I CALL MUSIC!, returns with another incredible collection of today's hottest hits. NOW THAT'S WHAT I CALL MUSIC! VOL. 16, scheduled for release on July 27th, features 20 current chart-toppers from the worlds of R&B, Pop and Modern Rock.

NOW THAT'S WHAT I CALL MUSIC! VOL. 16 includes the smash hits "Hey Ya!" by Outkast, "Naughty Girl" by Beyonce, Hoobastank's "The Reason," "My Band" by D12, Jessica Simpson's "Take My Breath Away," "One Call Away" by Chingy featuring J/Weav, and Black Eyed Peas' "Hey Mama."

Additional R&B chart-toppers include "Freek-A-Leek" by Petey Pablo, "Dude" by Beenie Man featuring Ms. Thing, "Move Ya Body" by Nina Sky featuring Jabba, "Slow Motion" by Juvenile featuring Soulja Slim, and "Leave (Get Out)" by Jo Jo.

Modern Rock is well-represented with Lenny Kravitz' "Where Are We Runnin'?", "Ocean Avenue" by Yellowcard, Switchfoot's "Meant To Live" and "Just Like You" from Three Days Grace. Other Pop chart-toppers featured include Britney Spears' "Everytime," Christina Milian's "Dip It Low," "Heaven" by Los Lonely Boys, and Gretchen Wilson's Country anthem, "Redneck Woman."

Overall, NOW THAT'S WHAT I CALL MUSIC! 16 is one of the strongest compilations of the series to date, with an abundance of current hits and up-and-coming singles. Among the notable facts are:
* NOW 16 features 16 of the top 40 best-selling digital tracks (includes multiple versions added together), 7 of the top 20 and 12 of the top 30 (including Gretchen Wilson)
* 10 of the top 25 radio airplay tracks (8 of the top 20, 4 of the top 10)

* 6 of the top 20 best-selling physical singles

NOW THAT'S WHAT I CALL MUSIC! 16 will also be the centerpiece of a special, 30-minute TV show of The Menu Presents - Now That's What I Call Music 16, set to air on Saturday morning, July 31 on Fox Networks at 10:30 am EST/PST. Produced by Future Mainstream Productions, the Now 16 TV show will be hosted by Carrie Keegan and will feature music videos of songs included on NOW 16 as well as behind the scenes footage from some of the artists on the album. NOW 16 artists will also be featured on segments of The Menu which airs on Fox Networks Saturday mornings at 11 am EDT/PDT.

NOW THAT'S WHAT I CALL MUSIC! is a successful ongoing project featuring music from The EMI Group, Sony Music Entertainment, Universal Music Group and the Zomba Group of labels. NOW 16 will be released on Universal Music Enterprises, a division of the Universal Music Group.
The series debuted in the United States in 1998 after the NOW! brand had been an enormous, multi-platinum international success for nearly 20 years, with some 56 volumes featuring pop hits released in the UK alone. To date, the NOW! series has generated sales of 135 million albums worldwide, and has sold over 48 million copies in the United States since its debut.
Every album in the NOW! series has reached the Billboard Top 10 and four have debuted at No 1 on the Billboard Top 200, making NOW! the only non-soundtrack, multi-artist collection to occupy the top spot on this distinguished album sales chart.
