New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Salt Lake Pops Orchestra Official Website) Nathaniel Drew of Salt Lake Pops recently released their orchestrated version of Grenade. Bruno Mars' famous song has been covered by Drew's revolutionary orchestra and features Lindsey Stirling and Alex Boye'. The sheet music for this new orchestrated track has also been made available for free at their website to any orchestra that is looking to spice up their performances.

Beyond Grenade, Salt Lake Pops Orchestra recently announced the release of their rendition of Firework by Katy Perry. Drew has previously stated that one of the main goals of his "Revolutionary" orchestra is to help high school orchestras across the nation to find a way appeal to students by becoming relevant to their modern tastes. They have found that modernizing music in such a way is the only way to bolster the ranks of orchestras everywhere due to what's called the "Glee effect".

Firework by Katy Perry and Grenade by Bruno Mars are just a couple of the orchestrated pop pieces they've made available to for free in sheet music form to orchestras. Nathaniel, and many others, has dedicated their time to this non-profit project. The movement is called the Revolution Symphony.

Nathaniel Drew recently made a statement about the Revolution Symphony. He stated that it wasn't enough for orchestras to teach only the music of centuries past such as baroque, classical, and romantic. While these are necessary to learn, he emphasizes that they are not enough in this modern era. He said that it was important to get involved with what kids value to reach them on an emotional level. Growing community values starts with speaking to the hearts of the children.

The Revolution Symphony makes its home at https://www.revolutionsymphony.com. Here, orchestras can find free sheet music, such as Grenade to help their struggling orchestras. Since the project is non-profit, donors can donate to keep the project going strong.
