LOS ANGELES (Nelly Fans Website) - Platinum rapper Nelly is heading to prison!
Nelly will play the running back to Adam Sandler's quarterback in the upcoming remake of "The Longest Yard."

The 1974 original sees a group of prisoners take on their jail guards in a big bowl that gives the felons something to live for.
Adam Sandler will play the former football player turned convict who starts the team, a role originally portrayed by Burt Reynolds.
Chris Rock will also star in the movie, scheduled to hit theaters in May 2005.
