Los Angeles, CA (Top40 Charts / Imagine1) Two music icons, Mandrill and the Lowrider Band will combine forces on the night of August 4, 2012 at the historic John Anson Ford Amphitheatre in Hollywood for a soulful and scintillating journey into the world of global Funk, Rock, Latin, R&B and Jazz Fusion.
"We are excited about this opportunity to share the stage again with our brothers from the Lowrider Band," said Mandrill co-founder Ric (Doc) Wilson. "We have a lot of love for the members of the Lowrider Band and that's why we're calling this the Brotherhood Reunion Concert."Wilson further stated, "This is going to be a treat for both bands, reminiscent of back in the day when the members of Mandrill and Lowrider together routinely sold out arenas in the US. There is no question that the audience of devoted fans will be fully nourished on the evening of August 4th."
The Inner City Youth Orchestra of Los Angeles (ICYOLA), a showcase of some of the city's most gifted young classical musicians, will guest star with Mandrill on several songs in keeping with Mandrill's on-going effort to cultivate young talent.
