New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ W.A.G.E Official Website) Usually detention is often thought of as a disciplinary action given to students who misbehave during class. Today hip-hop duo W.A.G.E released a clever song using the concept of detention to acknowledge women in a class of their own.
In the hip-hop community when a woman is referred to as "bad" it's usually based on her physical features. In this single W.A.G.E used the word "bad" to describe a woman who possesses class, independence, and aspirations. The purpose of this song is to motivate women that they too can be a boss. Also, shows women that men find traits other than appearance to be sexy. The duo proves this theory using poetic and smooth lines to display their admiration for the ideal woman. This single will fit right into the theme of their upcoming mixtape titled "Roadside Assistance." The project scheduled to drop on August 23,2012 will contain songs that will each have a meaning to help assist the listeners in dealing with the issues of everyday life.
