NEW YORK (www.BloodhoundGang.com) - The classic BHG track plays over scenes of the U.S.A. carpet bombing the crap out of Baghdad last March. The Bloodhound Gang waived their fee for the track, saying (about Moore) in a statement posted on their website, "Anyone that pisses people off while making them laugh is OK in our book. Our president is a clown, so Michael Moore invited the whole world to laugh at him. We're proud to be a part of that." Jimmy Pop adds, "We would rather the Bloodhound Gang be 'The Soundtrack to War' than Creed. Now that would be embarrassing." Bloodhound Gang formed in the early 90's with frontman Jimmy Pop and Lupus producing the band's first release, the 1994 "Dingleberry Haze" EP. A year later, the duo released their debut album, "Use Your Fingers". After adding bassist Evil Jarred, drummer Spanky G and DJ Q-Ball, the band release their second album "One Fierce Beer Coaster," which included the alternative hit single "Fire Water Burn." In 2000 they released the subtle and understated "Hooray for Boobies," which yielded the smash single "The Bad Touch." In 2003, BHG put out "One Fierce Beer Run," possibly the truest insight into life on tour ever.
The band will play three shows in their hometown of Philadelphia beginning on July 23rd and then embark on a month-long European tour. After this statement goes out, the band fully expects (and welcomes) the invasive and thorough body searches they will most undoubtedly receive upon returning to America.
