Independent Pop Artist Releases New Single "Bad Boy"

Peoria, IL (Top40 Charts/ Leshai Official Website) Independent pop artist Leshai has finally released her latest single, "Bad Boy" via ReverbNation.com and her Facebook fan page. "Bad Boy" is the first single from the 16-year-old singer's upcoming sophomore album.

"Bad Boy" is a bit different from the previous songs released by the singer-songwriter. "Bad Boy" has a unique dirty south sound that is bound to place it in the hip-hop, urban music scene.

"I wanted to broaden my horizon and appeal to a different audience," Leshai said of her latest single. "The song is definitely going to draw me closer to hip-hop music fans."

In addition to appealing to a more hip-hop fanbase, Leshai hopes that "Bad Boy" will be an anthem for the young ladies. "The hip-hop single describes a young girl looking for a guy with an edge, or "swag" as it's referred to in the hip-hop world.

While "Bad Boy" has a hip-hop appeal rather than the pop sound that Leshai's fans heard on her debut album Devil's Kiss, Leshai managed to keep the same formula she used on the first album."Bad Boy" was produced by Splitting Image Productions, the same production duo that produced the three singles released from the singer's debut album.

"While I wanted to aim for a new sound, I also wanted to keep the same creative energy there was on the first album," Leshai said of her experience working with the production team.
