Lason "L.A.D" Jackson grew up in Brooklyn. Music has always been a major part of his life and his desire to become skilled at business always followed right behind his passion for music. L.A.D learned about the music industry as a protege of Wu-Tang member Rza at the height of their success. After getting the opportunity to do an in-studio freestyle on Hot 97's The Stretch and Bobbito show, he received the attention of major and indie labels. This led to him securing a distribution deal through Navarre Distribution and him releasing his debut album "Heist of the Century." The project sold over 350,000 units.
To date, L.A.D has toured internationally with Jay-Z, 50 Cent, and Wu-Tang. He has made appearances on many artist's albums including Snoop Dogg, Fabolous, Lil Wayne, and more. As the President and CEO of Aphillates Music Group, Embassy Entertainment, and Aphilates Management, he has brokered deals with Atlantic Records, Universal Records, Asylum/Warner Brothers and companies for the endorsement of artists he managed. As both a businessman and artist L.A.D primary goal is to help hip-hop grow by pushing the important of strength, knowledge, and financial independence.
