Chicago, IL (Top40 Charts/ Las Guitarras De Espana Official Website) September is shaping up to be a busy month for Chicago's Las Guitarras De Espana.
On Saturday, September 15, the band will be headlining Mayne Stage, 1328 Morse Ave, with special guests Ian Maskin on cello and celebrated flamenco dancer Wendy Clinard. Los Hombres Perdidos, brainchild of Andrew Bird's Bowl of Fire guitarist Colin Bunn, will open the show with a set inspired by Mexican descargas, Cuba son and Spaghetti Westerns. Doors open at 7:30 PM CST and tickets are $20-$30; ages 18+.
On Tuesday, September 25, Las Guitarras De Espana will be supporting Chinese folk group Hanggai at Reggie's Rock Club, 2105 S. State Street, as part of the World Music Festival. This show will be an Indo-Flamenco rock collaborative with special guests Satya (vocalist) and Sara Ranganathan (veena). The event is free and open to all ages.
