Set for release on October 9, #3 is the follow-up to the acclaimed Irish trio's 2010 album, Science and Faith, which debuted at #1 in the UK and Ireland, and reached the top of the charts all over the world. Fans who pre-order the album will instantly receive a download of the first single, "Hall of Fame."
The
Script premiered "Hall of Fame" in London during the Today Show's Olympics broadcast. It was the perfect debut for the empowering anthem, which features will.i.am - it soars both lyrically and musically. "We wanted to capture as much emotion in the track's sound as there is in the lyrics, which are definitely some of the most positive and upbeat we've ever written," says The Script's Mark Sheehan. The album's title, #3 is more significant than it may seem. Yes, it's the Script's third album, but there are also three members in The Script, each of them contributing equally, and it was recorded in
Studio 3 at London's Sphere Studios. But mainly it expresses the theme of the album: "music for the head, heart and feet."
