Martin Solveig and
Sidney Samson. After ascending the ranks, his wide following now anticipate the upcoming release of his first EP. Rascal reveals that this work of art will "bring the music back into DJing," and shed predictability while exuding originality. This young master of the decks is a sure force to be reckoned with.
Rascal's evolution as a DJ paralleled his development as a musician since 14 years of age. Returning home from a middle school party, Rascal begged his parents for his own turntables. "I was just that nerdy kid, experimenting at home all the time," Rascal explains. At 16-years-old, his incredible drive caught massive attention and he began exploding all over the city. Nobody would guess that the skinny kid from Jazz Band would be the dark horse of the Miami music scene. Rascal is constantly spinning Miami's top venues- Mynt, LIV, Arkadia, Mansion and SET. "Miami is my playground… It feels like I know everyone and I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. I do what I love doing… and at the end of the day, everyone goes home with a smile on their face."
Now 23 years old, Rascal has taken his extensive club experience into the studio. His unique mixes have consistently hit the top 20 on hype machine. However, Rascal's EP brings a whole new sound to the turntable. Pulling from his roots as a musician, Rascal revives melody, bringing a revolutionary sound to house music. The celebrity DJs involved in this cutting edge collaboration are yet to be revealed.
