Motion City Soundtrack - UK Tour Starts Next Week
LONDON, UK (Top40 Charts/ Mercenary Publicity) Motion City Soundtrack arrive in the UK next week to play 9 shows, kicking off at Glasgow's King Tuts on Saturday 15th Sept, taking in London's Heaven on 17th before finishing up in Leeds on the 25th. Full list of dates below.

The band recently released the video for their track "True Romance" in which singer Justin Pierre appears to sing the song in reverse, watch it here:

Describing just how he managed that Justin said:

"It was incredibly difficult memorizing an entire song backwards phonetically. I had heard David Lynch made all the actor's in Twin Peaks memorize their lines this way for scenes in The Black Lodge, so I felt I was in good company. I filmed myself singing the entire song forward, then flipped the film, listened back, wrote down the syllables I thought I heard, then filmed myself singing that over a backwards track of the record. I flipped it again and watched to make sure it looked like I was singing the original words. I would then make changes to the phonetic lyrics based on the timing of my mouth needing to be shut or open. Even if I heard an F sound, sometimes an M sound looked better. So after a few days of finding what worked visually, I then had to memorize it. That part sucked. I even had cheat sheets made up for the shoot but by the time we were ready to shoot (after hours of rehearsals) I no longer needed them."
