New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Atlantic Records) Fueled By Ramen recording artist Rome has announced details of his first-ever headline tour. The dates support his recently released solo debut, the "DEDICATION" EP, and herald the imminent release of his eagerly awaited, as-yet-untitled debut full length, due to arrive in 2013.
Rome will hit the road beginning November 2nd at the world famous
Belly Up Tavern in Solana Beach, California and then travel the U.S. through the month (see itinerary below). Additional shows will be announced shortly. Tickets for most dates will go on sale this Friday,
September 14th. For complete details and ticket information, please see www.romemusica.com.
Rome's debut EP, "DEDICATION," sees the talented singer/songsmith teaming with a stellar line-up of studio superstars, including Benny
Blanco (Maroon 5, Ke$ha, Wiz Khalifa), Dave Bassett (Shinedown, Halestorm), Robopop (Gym Class Heroes, Lana Del Rey), and The Futuristics (The
Lonely Island Feat.
Justin Timberlake & Lady Gaga). In addition to the exhilarating title track -- co-written with
Nate Ruess of fun. and Grammy-winning producer Jeff Bhasker (fun., Kanye West, Jay-Z) -- "DEDICATION" features such infectious highlights as the sweet and summery "Seasons." A companion video for "
Seasons" is currently in pre-production, with a debut set for later this year.
Best known as the lead singer of legendary ska-punk combo
Sublime with Rome, the California-based artist has also slated a much-anticipated showcase at Las Vegas' Surrender Nightclub on
September 20th. In addition,
Sublime with Rome is set to wrap its hugely successful summer tour with a co-headlining performance at this weekend's DC101 Kerfuffle, set for Saturday,
September 15th at Bristow, Virginia's Jiffy Lube Live. For complete details, please see https://sublimewithrome.com/tour.
California born and bred singer/songwriter Rome Ramirez first began playing guitar at age 11, and, almost prophetically, many of the first songs he learned were by the famed ska punk band Sublime. Through his teenage years, Rome honed his musical chops and songwriting skills, and, in 2009, met
Sublime co-founder/bassist Eric Wilson who was recording at the same studio.
What started out as a jam session soon developed into a friendship and creative bond. Rome's first major performance as the frontman for
Sublime with Rome came in October 2009 at Cypress Hill's annual Smokeout Festival in front of 20,000 fans. The following year, Rome co-wrote and provided guest vocals on SoCal reggae rock band The Dirty Heads' #1 single "Lay Me Down."
In 2011,
Sublime with Rome released "YOURS TRULY," the band's first full length album in over a decade. Produced by Paul Leary, "YOURS TRULY" simultaneously picked up where
Sublime had left off and took their artistic vision to the next level, thanks to the fresh infusion of energy from Rome, who brought in lyrics, melodies, and music he'd written over the past few years. "
Panic" proved a top 5
Modern Rock hit, and was followed by "Take It Or Leave It," which garnered cross-country radio airplay.
