Warsaw, Poland (Top40 Charts/ MusicRage Organization Official Website) After a booming success of its previous music packs, with over 2000 of them sold, MusicRage.org launches a fourth round, this time four packs at the same time. Innovative service offers possibility to pay for some of the music by tweeting about MusicRage, therefore getting an even greater possibility to try the music out before buying, as well as helping in viral promotion of the service. Other features include detailed, transparency-oriented statistics and convenient Dropbox integration for one-click adding of bought albums into Dropbox account.
Once again MusicRage packs include albums from bands all around the world: amongst the four packs there are artists from Brazil, Canada, Germany, Poland, Russia United Kingdom and USA.
Besides selling DRM-free music (downloads available in both MP3 and FLAC formats) in packages and only for a limited time, MusicRage sales model includes "bonus for above-average payment": by paying more than the current pack average, the user gets a bonus, albums (or EPs) not available in the base pack.
"We want MusicRage to grow with every new round of packs. Not only in the musical sense, although we do try to offer music from more and more genres, but also technologically. We are a web startup and therefore willing to explore new ways of bringing good music to fans. Hence things like 'pay-with-a-tweet' and Dropbox integration. In the future we might include material complementary to the actually sold albums but not included within them." -- says
Michal Michalski, one of the founders.
Another feature are detailed statistics, including full sales numbers, traffic by country and will soon include Top Contributors. "This should increase our transparency even further and offer everyone an insight into where a given pack is most popular. Besides just being fun to watch and explore, it might give valuable insight resulting in tour planning or other actions undertaken by artists." -- explains Tomasz Stachewicz, the other founder.
