The Crumbles Movie Soundtrack Composed By Quetzal Flores Set For September 4th Release
LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts/ Regime Records) Regime Records is proud to announce the release of The Crumbles movie soundtrack on September 4th, 2012 via the label. The soundtrack features music composed by Los Angeles based Chicano rock musician Quetzal Flores, of the band Quetzal. The film The Crumbles was directed by Akira Boch and produced by Gena Hamamoto, and is scheduled to open for the OC Film Fiesta on September 1st.

"The Crumbles is an indie movie about an extremely talented band that's stuck in their own garage. Before we started shooting, I knew the film would live or die by its soundtrack. I asked my good friend Quetzal Flores to do the music because I'd made several videos for his band QUETZAL, and I knew he had a deep musical well. What Quetzal eventually came up with far exceeded my expectations," commented Akira Boch. "He not only captured the energy and exuberance that the band needed, but he also created an eclectic score that fits beautifully with the overall tone of the film. I'm sure this is why so many people who see The Crumbles compliment the amazing soundtrack."

Indie film fans and music lovers will be drawn in by the original soundtrack by Quetzal Flores, whose band, Quetzal, has been called "provocative, heartfelt and strikingly original" by the LA Times. Spending months working on the songs in his home studio with the help of his musician friends, Flores produced a unique sound tailored for the fictional band and the actors' real musical talents.

The Crumbles is an indie rock slice-of life tragicomedy about Darla, an overly serious musician whose stagnant life is shaken up when her long lost best friend Elisa shows up and crashes on her couch... indefinitely. Free-spirited Elisa has just moved back to Los Angeles after a devastating break-up, and no one else in their funky group of friends is willing to help her out. She is charming and musically gifted, making her the perfect partner in the band that Darla has long wanted to start up. But when the band gets rolling, insecurity, heartache, and oversized egos all work against them. While they both share dreams of rocking the globe, it becomes a monumental struggle just getting out of the garage. The Crumbles was inspired by the real-life experience of playing in a garage band—and the ego battles, minor successes, unfulfilled dreams, and life lessons that went along with it.

The Crumbles won the Audience Award for Best Narrative Feature at the 2012 San Francisco International Asian American Film Festival. The film will also be shown at other festivals including the Sound Unseen Film Festival in Minneapolis, MN and the DC Asian Pacific American Film Festival. A tour of film screenings are being planned across the country in conjunction with the film's DVD release. For more information about the film and soundtrack please visit www.thecrumbles.com.
