Matt Bunsen And The Burners Continue To Rock The Jamband And Americana World With Their Newly Released Third Album, "Porch Party Vol. 1."
San Bernadino, CA (Top40 Charts/ Powderfinger Promotions) Matt Bunsen And The Burners continue to rock the Jamband and Americana world with their third album, "Porch Party vol. 1." The seven-piece band hails from Crestline, CA, where they regularly perform old-school country, classic rock from the 60s and 70s, and the skillfully crafted music of Matt Bunsen. Formed in 2010, they call themselves a folk-rock party band and feature classic acoustic instrumentation and killer 3-part harmonies.

Porch Party vol. 1 brings a modern language and transformative, yet relatable lyrics to traditional country grooves and chord progressions. The album has all the energy you'd expect from a live show with ample up-tempo instrumental solos, strong harmonies and the soulfulness that can only be captured in a live recording. Songs like "Life on the Road 2.1" and "Burning in a White Room" showcase their humorous side, with an upbeat feel and clever lyrical content, while "Fall Back On Your Heart" and "Simple But Not Easy" slow down the pace and deliver a more thoughtful experience. However, the most memorable track on the album, "I'm Yosemite Sam," tells the story of the iconic cartoon character via Yosemite Sam's Wikipedia entry, from which the two verses are taken verbatim. Add to the mix covers of Ween, The Byrds and Buck Owens, Porch Party vol. 1 is sure to leave you with a smile on your face and sweet melodies in your mind.

Porch Party vol. 1 was recorded live at the house of Matt Bunsen by Todd Spahr (The Cavedogs, Sparhusen) and Rob Calhoun (scoring assistant on "John Tucker Must Die"), and mastered by Hans DeKline (The Von Bondies, Snoop Dogg, Joey Santiago of The Pixies, Morcheeba, Lisa Loeb, Diplo)
