East Rutherford, NJ (Top40 Charts/ Webster & Associates) Popular Blaster Entertainment singer, songwriter and WWE personality Lilian Garcia will energize the crowd as the halftime performer when the New York Jets host the San Francisco 49ers at MetLife Stadium on Sunday,
September 30th.
"This is a wonderful honor," Garcia said. "I love the NFL and I'm ready to give the crowd a great, high energy show at halftime as I perform songs from my new EP, 'My Time'."
Garcia will also perform the
National Anthem just prior to kickoff.
"This will be the eighth time I've sung the national anthem at a Jets Game and I love it," Garcia said. "I am particularly honored that I've been asked to perform as part of Hispanic Heritage Month. It will be a privilege to represent the millions of Hispanics who are proud to call
America their home."
The Latin born beauty is known to millions of fans as the host of WWE's "Smackdown." MetLife Stadium is special to her since she will be involved with "Wrestlemania" there in April, 2013.
In addition to her broadcasting duties, Garcia has an active career as a singer. She has performed at a variety of professional sporting events including the NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, NASCAR and the US Open tennis tournament.
In 2007, Garcia released her first album, "Quiero Vivir", in which she wrote or co-wrote 11 of the songs. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Garcia recorded a duet in both languages with Grammy Award winner Jon Secada. Her new EP, "
My Time", is available on iTunes.
