Lakeshore Records To Release 'Nobody Walks' Original Soundtrack
Los Angeles, CA (Top40 Charts/ CineMedia Promotions) Lakeshore Records will release the Nobody Walks - Original Soundtrack digitally on Tuesday, October 9, 2012. The album features original music by Fall On Your Sword (Twenty-Eight Hotel Rooms, Another Earth), who were nominated for a 2012 World Soundtrack Award as Discovery of the Year for their work to Lola Versus and Nobody Walks.

Fall On Your Sword is the multimedia composing entity founded by Will Bates and Philip Mossman. Though originally from London, Bates and Mossman met in Brooklyn where they now record and reside. The duo has gained swift recognition as a rising force in the world of feature film scoring as well as recording/performing artists and viral video mavericks. Together they have amassed over 2 million You Tube hits.
Since opening doors to their new studios in 2010, Fall On Your Sword have scored no less than seven full-length feature films, including Lola Versus directed by Daryl Wein, Aardvark directed by Kitao Sakurai, Another Earth directed by Mike Cahill, The Normals directed by Kevin Connors and Generation Um directed by Mark Mann. Sundance 2012 saw two films featuring Fall On Your Sword scores; Twenty-Eight Hotel Rooms directed by Matt Ross and Nobody Walks directed by Ry Russo-Young. This Fall, Fall On Your Sword will be speaking at the Billboard/Hollywood Reporter Film & TV Music Conference about their impact in cinematic scoring.

"Having worked with Ry on her previous film, You Won't Miss Me," said Will Bates of Fall On Your Sword, "Ry and I developed a great work flow with a real sense of trust. She has good instincts. She knows exactly when something is right, whilst really giving me the freedom to explore."

Martine (Olivia Thirlby), a 23-year-old artist from New York, arrives in Los Angeles to stay in the pool house of a family living in the hip and hilly community of Silver Lake. Peter (John Krasinski), the father, has agreed to help Martine complete sound design on her art film as a favor to his wife (Rosemarie DeWitt). Martine innocently enters the seemingly idyllic life of this open-minded family with two kids and a relaxed Southern California vibe. Like a bolt of lightning, her arrival sparks a surge of energy that awakens suppressed impulses in everyone and forces them to confront their own fears and desires.

Exquisitely directed by Ry Russo-Young (You Won't Miss Mescreened at the 2009 Festival) and cowritten by Lena Dunham (Tiny Furniture), this potent charting of inner urges and sufferings links characters in an intricate dance of lust, denial, and deception. Despite their issues, each comes across as fundamentally human, urging viewers to appraise the characters' morality by evaluating their own motives. Sexually charged and rigorously composed, Nobody Walks boasts an impressive cast who deliver incisive performances in this absorbing tale, and a score to match.

"Finding the tonal palette on Nobody Walks was the real key," said Bates. "She [Russo-Young] wanted the score to evolve out of the movie as if it was born from sound design. We started with that simple idea, and the melodies and themes kind of just happened from there."

Magnolia Pictures presents Nobody Walks, currently available on VOD and in theaters on October 12, 2012. Nobody Walks - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack from Lakeshore Records will be available digitally on October 9, 2012.
