Charlie Peacock's "Amazing" 'No Man's Land' Is Released; US Tour Begins
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Missing Piece Group) Charlie Peacock’s "amazing" (Indie Vision Music) No Man’s Land was released yesterday. The album is a "new showcase for his trademark mix of clear-eyed lyricism and atmospheric improvisational arrangements." (Time Out NY)

Writing in the Nashville Scene, Jewly Hight observed that No Man’s Land is "an Americana album in the same sense that Paul Simon’s Graceland is a world music album." She continues, "At the heart of it is Peacock’s distinctive, jazzed-up, hook-and-groove-centric studio architecture…but the vocal timbre - taut, grainy and soulful…couldn’t belong to anybody but Peacock."

Paste Magazine’s Holly Gleason proclaims it "a cocktail of Dust Bowl feels, Cajun beats and shuffles, raw banjos and fiddles, steel guitars that pool, and spacious arrangements. This is music of red dirt and high humidity, different worlds that share the same sort of soul."

Indie Vision Music’s Josh Hamm sums it up thusly: "No Man’s Land captures the essence of what makes folk music great: storytelling," and notes that the album is "vintage Americana like you’ve never heard it before: folk, country, jazz, R&B, big band, it’s all there."

Peacock, "a fantastic songwriter and performer," (Stereo Subversion) kicked off his tour in front of a packed house last night at Nashville’s famed 3rd and Lindsley.
