Lauren Laverne Confirmed As Host Of The Music Producers Guild Awards 2013
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ White Noise PR) Radio and television presenter Lauren Laverne is to host the 2013 Music Producers Guild Awards, which take place at the Café de Paris in London on February 7th 2013.

An award-winning presenter, Lauren began her career in the music industry as a member of the indie band Kenickie. She entered the world of broadcasting in 1996 when she joined leading London radio station XFM, before moving to BBC 6Music where she now hosts a daily show.

Lauren has a successful and varied on-screen career, presenting TV shows such as Transmission, The Culture Show, Style on Trial, 10 o'Clock Live and coverage from music events including Glastonbury and The Mercury Prize. She is also no stranger to the red carpet, having hosted a number of premieres in London's Leicester Square.

Steve Levine, chairman of the Music Producers Guild, says: "We are delighted that Lauren will be part of our 2013 Awards ceremony. She is immensely experienced and has a deep understanding of the music industry, both as an artist and a presenter. Her obvious love of music makes her ideally suited to host an event that recognises the recording professionals whose creative talents contribute so much to the hit records we all enjoy."

The 2013 Music Producers Guild Awards offers the perfect opportunity to mingle, network and rub shoulders with many of the industry's most celebrated recording professionals, artists and decision makers.

"Audio professionals have a unique place at the very heart of the music industry," Steve Levine adds. "As true independents, we have an important role to play in supporting and guiding the artistic creation that is the lifeblood of our industry."
