Less Than A Year: Caught In Vajra's Web
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Vajra Official Website) In less than a year from Vajra's debut performance, the band's hypnotic web is spreading to Europe and South America, and the recent response is phantasmagorically on the rise. The band is currently receiving rave reviews after the release of their debut album "Pleroma." Here's what some are saying:

Pete The RingMaster from the UK says about Vajra's debut album, "Pleroma is one of the most inspirational and glorious albums to light up 2012. It is an album of aural majesty, a beautifully crafted and emotionally driven piece of wonder, which wraps tender and mesmeric yet evocative arms around the thoughts and senses. It is a release with a background as full as the fiery sounds which ignite the passions within…." (Pete The RingMaster Review in association with Reputation Radio Show)

Lords of Metal from The Netherlands cites Pleroma as a "unique experience" At times, you have the idea that you are listening to new material from Dead Can Dance but with Patti Smith as a singer or to the resurrection of Siouxie and the Banshees with a tabla added. (Lords of Metal E-Zine)

According to Arlequins from Italy, Vajra's "sound is full, saturated, gothic and hypnotic sometimes on the edge of a mantra…." (Arlequins Webzine)

Gothic Magazine from Germany, applauds "Pleroma" for its "colorful meditative sonorities. It's all about contrast, progressively painted songs. [It's a] win, a very, very beautiful piece of music. Fantastic." (Freya Kettner, Gothic Magazine)

Weaving Indian and rock elements, Vajra continues to capture audiences with their hauntingly dark, spectral melodies reflecting the shadowy tunnels of a tortured soul. Costumed in sequins and black tulle, feisty songstress-songwriter, Annamaria Pinna, belts out her songs alternating righteous anger with subdued gentleness while her frenetic band blends a cacophony of fear and dread with angelic strains, eliciting a bountiful harvest that is sure to please even the most beastial or beautiful palate. "Spellbinding. That's probably the best way to describe this astonishing debut release from Vajra," says Nick Tate of Progression Magazine. So move over vampires and vixens and make room for Vajra. This sure is a band that deserves your attention.
