Garth Adam's New Three-Track EP "Traveling," Has Now Been Released For The First Time In The US
Boston, MA (Top40 Charts/ Powderfinger Promotions) Garth Adam's new three track EP, "Travelling," has now been released for the first time in the U.S.. This is the seventh solo release since this Australian native's first album, Great Ocean Road in November of 2002. Garth's music is a sonic mixture of his influences and life experiences. Born in the UK, Adam spent his early childhood in Africa and Fiji before his family settled in Australia, where he eventually transitioned to a songwriting bass player via a variety of Australian bands. Garth was a finalist in the 2009 International Songwriting Competition for his song "The Boat" and also a finalist in the E Song Competition in 2010 for the song "The Distance," which was also featured on the free CD for the August edition of Relix magazine.

"Travelling" is a collection of songs that powerfully imply a feeling of forward motion with the rise and fall of gorgeous arrangements and solid lyrical themes. The EP begins with "Staring at the Window," which has some of that great rhythmic feel of Creedence Clearwater Revival. Adam's cool and collected vocal line fits perfectly over a staccato bass line and grunge guitar sound. The second track, "Hands Across the Border," is similar to British bands such as Coldplay with intensified guitar parts. The final track, "Books for Girls," is straightforward pop rock with an obscure twist , suitable for radio airplay. Each song on "Travelling" goes down smooth, flowing seamlessly from beginning to end.

"Travelling" was recorded at Linear Recording in Sydney, Australia and produced by Melvin Tree. The songs were mastered by Kathy Naunton (Paul Kelly, Simon London) at Db Mastering in Camperdown, Sydney. Guitar, bass and vocals were performed by Garth Adams with Theo Katsantoni on the drums, Brendan O'Brien on the keyboard and background vocals, and David Kelly on background vocals.
