New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ 8digital music) The 'Growler' EP has four tracks; Rock n Roll Man, Dr. Chu. Green Blues and The Longest Day. The four tracks reflect the life of the rock n roll men as they travel from gig to gig day in and day out. Heavily influenced by
Slayer and 70's progressive rock the EP "hits you like a freight train" (The Sound Magazine) with their own twist on favourite musical influences.
After locking themselves away in a remote cottage in Perthshire they laid the foundations for the Bacchus Baracus sound. The four track EP was recorded in a studio deep within the bottling plant that belongs to the family of Iain (guitar & bv's). The resulting EP was met with critical acclaim and the band have completed their new album to be released by Toni Martone's Wasted
State label in February 2013. Guitarist Gaz said of the pairing "Toni from Wasted
State wanted to put out our album after doing a couple of gigs with Bacchus Baracus with his band Gareeda. He came over to the studio to listen to the record, liked it and there and then agreed to put it out"
Bacchus Baracus have been confirmed to play on the same bill at Pentagram at Ivory Blacks on 4th November with Gentleman's Pistols featuring ex
Napalm Death guitarist Bill Steer. Recommended by Desert Rock Scotland they were approached by the gig Promoter to play. "What can I say? We get to play with a seminal band like Pentagram. They are up there with Sabbath and we're stoked to be on the bill."
