LONDON, UK (Top40 Charts/ Sticky Toffee PR) Amerikas Addiction are made up of vocalist/emotionalist, Addiction aka Ebonix, and sound/ambiance producer, J The Truth. The group began as founding members of the notorious, "Black House Gang," which earned them nominations for, "Best Rap/HipHop Act," in 2007 and 2010 by the Wisconsin Area Music Industry. As a solo artist, Addiction aka Ebonix was featured in VIBE Magazine as best Wisconsin rapper for the magazine's publication of "51 Best Myspace Rappers."
The duos hip-hop/electro-pop vibe makes it hard to put their music into a single genre, leaving the music uncategorised but very unique. With their Facebook and Twitter following growing every day, Amerikas Addiction continue to work hard to produce the best music they can and show their appreciations to their fans, which are also know as their 'Addicts', "The most important element of our music is our fan base - the addicts. As a collective, Addiction and Ebonix have released four official albums, including "Foreplay", "Dark Desires", "The Enlitened Ones" and "Blame It on the Drugs" via Black House Productions and each record draws upon influences from the hip-hop scene, to alternative to punk to reggae to dance, and techno music cultures.
"Foreplay" is an non-hip hop EP release based off what the duo was exposed to on a regular basis in the media: sex. The album lyrically expresses the sexual thoughts, tensions, and desires of the group. This album was the beginning of the exciting Amerikas Addiction journey and a step towards the goal of pushing the artistic envelope on each release.
Released Valentines Day 2011, "Dark Desires" is an 8-tracked EP produced by J-The Truth as a thank you to their fans for the unconditional support and was immediately downloaded worldwide and featured on the award-winning website, Music in Revolt. The leading track from the EP "Climaxxx" was viewed over 10,000 times in less than 10 days.
"The Enlitened Ones" was Amerikas Addictions' third release on April 4 2011. The album was a collaborative EP between the musical duo and Enliten Clothing Company in Oregon. Working together they created a real-talk album that exposed the hip-hop roots of the musical duo which captures the expression of life challenges, sexual tensions, desire, struggle, love and other elements of the hip-hop culture.
Amerikas Addiction fourth album was the critically acclaimed "Blame It on the Drugs". released on November 9 2011. The sound of the album is a seamless blend of all of their three previous releases and truly sets Amerikas Addiction's image and their sound apart from all other groups and artists.
