Kenny Chesney & Bruce Springsteen Win At Billboard Touring Awards
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) Kenny Chesney and Bruce Springsteen were celebrated for their tour dominance last night at the annual Billboard Touring Awards, held in New York. The Awards are based primarily on numbers reported to Billboard Boxscore.

Chesney was honored with the 'Top Package' Award for the year's top-grossing tour with three or more artists on the bill (sales of his 'Brothers of the Sun' Tour hit $100 million) and the "Road Warrior" Award, celebrating uncommon work ethic, professionalism and artistic integrity on the road. The night marked Chesney's seventh "Top Package" and ninth Billboard Touring award overall. Chesney also presented Billboard's Ray Waddell with the "Legend of the Scribe" award, honoring his 25 years of journalistic excellence in the touring industry and commenting, "we see him as more than a journalist, he's truly passionate about what he does." Chesney will kick off his 'No Shoes Nation' Tour, including 17 stadium dates, on March 16.

"It was ironic that before I came up here they had "Dancing In The Dark" playing," Chesney said. "I have a lot of heroes that have busted down the door for guys like me that help me make music like I make it and tour like I tour, and Bruce is one of those."

Bruce Springsteen won Billboard's "Top Draw" Award, in recognition of the year's top ticket-selling tour. Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band's 'Wrecking Ball' world tour continues in the U.S. through December 6 and to date has included several of the longest shows of Springsteen's career and garnered universal acclaim being called "gigantic" (Rolling Stone), "thrilling" (The Atlantic) and "explosive" (New York Times).
