Rio De Janeiro, BRAZIL (Top40 Charts/ Beatrice Mason Official Website) Brasilian jazz artist Beatrice Mason and her popularity have been picking up steam in the United States with her latest release, Mosaico. All songs on the album are in her native Portuguese with the exception of the new single "Caramel" which was just released in 3 different mixes. "Caramel" has already climbed to #41 on the SmoothJazz.com chart; her presence having taken a front seat all over the site. The College Music Journal (CMJ) ranked her album at number 19 on their New World Music Chart, and her debuts at other core radio stations have been gaining as well. Her Brasilian pop music (MPB) influences and sweet Portuguese and English lyrics heard on such singles as "Caramel" and "Foi No Més Que Bem" are sure to entice blues and jazz listeners around the world.

Right out of the box, the album is charting on stations: WTJU in Charlottesville, VA (#10), CILU in Thunder Bay, ON (#9), WNMC in Traverse City, MI (#2), KZMU in Moab, UT (#8) and core station KZSC in Santa Cruz, CA (#7). As a result of her success, she came to the attention of ex-Motown Producer, Michael B. Sutton via her North American consultant company, The Music Umbrella. Sutton a renown writer/producer (Michael Jackson, Smokey Robinson) produced the remixes English track, "Caramel". The release came out mid-October on the Lilly Blonde label and is being actively promoted to Smooth Jazz Radio for an international audience.

Beatrice Mason was raised in a musical home in Rio de Janeiro and started studying music and singing in choirs at the age of 6. Her mother is a choir conductor and encouraged both Beatrice and her sister to learn musical theory and to play instruments. However, when the time came to choose a career, Beatrice decided to go to law school and practiced law for some time both in Brasil and in the United States.

For the past 8 years, after leaving her law practice, she has been performing and developing a cult following in Rio and other cities in Brasil, as well as in Europe. Beatrice performed to standing room only crowds at the International Music Conference, Midem 2012 in Cannes, France, which took place last January. Her first highly acclaimed CD, Mosaico, received excellent reviews and brought forward a new generation of very talented composers whose songs she recorded.

Beatrice's next upcoming project has been granted a government sponsorship and will focus on the songs of South-American writers and composers; Jorge Drexler, Vitor Ramil and Kevin Johansen. The project will be recorded both in Brasil and in the United States in 2013.

Additionally, Beatrice is currently working on her next solo album, which is to be released in 2013 as well. She will be collaborating with several top USA producers and writers. More information on her music can be found here: www.beatricemason.com.br
