"Song of Love" has a definite old-school vibe, with backing melodies that sound culled from the best of the 70s soul jams Whitaker listened to all those years ago.
Jazzy keyboards, and funky guitar are layered atop a high-hat rhythm that sets a perfect backdrop for Whitaker's easy-flowing vocals.
"Song of Love" is a message in a bottle, a plea to be heard. Whitaker says his message is about finding the courage to share your emotions, in pursuit of a human connection with another heart.
