New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Steve Cooke Official Website) Where do celebrities, locals and international visitors go to experience the world's best live music? Only one place has it all... the Baked Potato club in Southern California. From the beginning, on any given night, you'll see some of the music industry's top performers and studio musicians playing in the intimate setting which is the Baked Potato in Studio City.
The "Spud," as regulars call it, is an important outlet for musicians from all over the world to perform. The Baked Potato has been labeled the 'petri dish' of the Los Angeles music scene because of the diversity of styles that can be heard there.
The Spud has been a launch pad for the successful careers of numerous musicians such as Al Jarreau, Kenny G, Larry Carlton, Tom Scott,
Lee Ritenour and many more.
Steve Cooke will celebrate the Christmas festivities by performing 2 shows at the "Baked Potato" on
Thursday December 13th. The first 'unplugged' show, at 8.30pm, will begin with a solo acoustic 12 string performance, and then build into a duo and trio performance. The second show, starting at 10.30pm, will be a full band performance with Steve playing his new material and his current songs from the radio hit "Working for the USA" Award winning album. It will certainly be a treat for the fans who have never heard him play his electric Gibson Les Paul 1969 and his fathers 50's classic hollow body f-hole electric.
Steve will be performing with Steve Stephens on drums (Janet Jackson,
Glenn Hughes etc), Steve Postell on 2nd guitar (David Crosby, John Oates,
Jackson Browne etc) and Marcus Brown on bass (Seal, Madonna) plus some surprise guests, including
Scotty Page on Sax (Pink Floyd-Super Tramp & Toto).
Many of Hollywood's most recognizable celebrities are regulars at the Baked Potato and make it their place for live entertainment. Clint Eastwood, Robert De Niro, Nancy Sinatra, Andy Garcia, Lucy Liu and Geoffrey Rush, just to name a few, have all been spotted hanging out at the Spud.
An evening not to be missed!
