Los Angeles, CA (Top40 Charts) It's a "
Miracle" Grammy nomination for Reggae's "The Original Wailers" at the 55th Grammy Awards. Led by Al Anderson, The Original Wailers' EP has struck a chord with fans and aficionados of all musical genres; rock, pop, hip hop R&B, country and reggae music, alike.
In 1974,
Bob Marley went solo. On the brink of international stardom, soft spoken, American-born Al Anderson was selected as lead guitarist. Anderson's phenomenal lead work on such classics as No Woman, No Cry, Dem
Belly Full and Curfew (Three O' Clock Road Block) brought rock fans to the Wailers' music. Well over $1 billion worth of Marley's music featuring Al Anderson's guitar work has been sold worldwide. During the course of his illustrious career, Al also played with the legendary
Peter Tosh,
James Brown, Stevie Wonder, The Rolling Stones, Steel Pulse, Aswad, Inner Circle, Traffic and Ben Harper.
MRG Recordings President Dino Malito said, "I am pleased to announce that MRG Recordings has received the company's first-ever Grammy nomination for the 55th Grammy Awards. Only a few years after launching the MRG imprint with a unique business model developed specifically to reflect the challenges of the digital music world, we are thrilled to receive these accolades for The Original Wailers' EP, "Miracle."
The sole original member of the Wailer's classic line-up is guitarist Al Anderson. He notes, "As a musician that has been nominated once before, I feel more than twice the gratitude and excitement this second time. This is an album that pays tribute to all those that built this music, not the least of which, the late, great Wailer Carlton Barrett. It's an honor to accept this nomination and for the album to be recognized amongst its peers."

Additional viral marketing strategies include advertising, special artist-focused podcasts, video meet & greets and implementation of targeted newsletter e-mail campaigns. Additionally, MRG Recordings coordinates with a host of companies, businesses and retailers to place music in a variety of outlets including television programs, short films, trailers, full-length feature films, live events, video games, in-flight entertainment, music compilations, product launches and corporate events.
With the intersection of music and the ever advancing technology, MRG Recordings will continue to explore and evolve combining an old-fashioned love for discovering and nurturing new music and talent with a clear-eyed view of the digital terrain that is now the essential meeting ground between artist and fan.
