The Dirty Heads And Shiny Toy Guns Announce Co-Headline Tour Odyssey Powered By Purevolume
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) So-Cal alt rockers The Dirty Heads and LA electro-rock outfit Shiny Toy Guns have announced their co-headline Tour Odyssey Powered by PureVolume. The North American winter tour will have support from up-and-coming San Francisco alt/pop/rock band Midi Matilda, as well as emerging dance/rock band Oh No Fiasco. The month-long run kicks off on February 13th in Dallas, TX and wraps up in Denver, CO on March 8th. The bands have partnered with PureVolume, which will provide exclusive content from all bands throughout the tour, ticket and merchandise giveaways, and more. While The Dirty Heads and Shiny Toy Guns both call Five Seven Music their label home, their sounds are quite different, which promises to provide an exciting and eclectic night of music for concertgoers. The Dirty Heads and Shiny Toy Guns recently wrapped up sold out US tours this fall, both to rave reviews. Tickets are on sale Friday, December 14 beginning at 10:00AM EST and can be found via The Dirty Heads' or Shiny Toy Guns' websites.

Formed in 2003 out of Huntington Beach, CA, The Dirty Heads combine an intriguing mix of hip-hop, reggae and alternative rock with a sunny California swagger. The band's most recent release, Cabin By The Sea, which features guests Del the Funky Homosapien, KyMani Marley and Matisyahu was globally released this past summerto rave reviews. Huffington Post said: "Summer 2012 officially has its soundtrack." The album is the band's first debut on Billboard's Top 20, as well as a peak position at #8 on iTunes overall music chart, #4 on iTunes Alternative chart and #3 on iTunes Independent chart. The Dirty Heads' debut album, Any Port In A Storm, released in September of 2008, features the hit track "Lay Me Down," a song that spent eleven weeks at #1 on the Billboard alternative chart, more than any single that year by any other artist. It is a certified gold single. Rolling Stone touted the 'Heads as one of the year's best new bands and they were among the first bands featured on YouTube's Raw Session.

Los Angeles electro-rock band Shiny Toy Guns recently released their latest album III, which features the first new material by the original line-up in five years. Production on III is lush and dramatic, ranging from driving tracks like the first single due January 2013 "Somewhere To Hide," "Waiting Alone" and "Speaking Japanese" into a sonic pendulum swing to the genre bending current release "Fading Listening." The band teamed up with legendary mixer Tony Maserati (Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Taylor Swift, Alicia Keyes) to finalize and sharpen the new 2012 sound of the band. Unlike any other group out there today, SHINY TOY GUNS music is driving rock and electro spearheaded by a male and female vocal courtesy of Chad Petree and Carah Faye. III was heralded as "impeccable...one of 2012's best" by Associated Press.
