fun. Makes History With Grammy Awards Triumph; Multiple Nods Confirm Trio As First Ever Rock Band To Receive Nominations In All Four Top Categories!
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) fun. is among the most-nominated artists for the upcoming 55th Annual Grammy Awards, earning six total nominations including a prestigious "Best New Artist" nod. The NYC-based band's acclaimed debut, "SOME NIGHTS" was nominated as "Album of the Year" and "Best Pop Vocal Album," while the worldwide #1 single, "We Are Young (Feat. Janelle MonĂ¡e)," was named in the "Record of the Year," "Song of the Year," and "Best Pop Duo/Group Performance" categories. What's more, producer Jeff Bhasker is among the "Producer of the Year, Non-Classical" nominees, specifically honoring his work on "SOME NIGHTS."

The multiple Grammy nominations already assure fun. a place in music history, establishing them as the first ever rock band to score nods in the top four categories: "Song of the Year," "Record of the Year," "Album of the Year," and "Best New Artist." The 55th Annual Grammy Awards will be held on Sunday, February 10th, 2013 at Staples Center in Los Angeles and will be broadcast live on CBS from 8-11:30 pm (ET/PT).

fun. will cap their extraordinary year with today's worldwide release of an "iTUNES SESSION" EP, available exclusively on the iTunes Store. Recorded at the storied Capitol Records Studio in Los Angeles, the EP pairs unique versions of "SOME NIGHTS" favorites like the new single, "Carry On," alongside a fresh take on "The Gambler" from the band's debut album "Aim & Ignite," as well as a truly special cover of Van Morrison's classic "Queen of the Slipstream" (see below tracklisting).

An irresistible and indefatigable live band, fun. will celebrate their remarkable 2012 with a very special New Year's Eve concert at Las Vegas' Haze Nightclub at Aria on Monday, December 31st. The band's first U.S. trek of 2013 then gets underway January 23rd at St. Paul, Minnesota's Roy Wilkins Auditorium and then continues through a sold out February 16th date at Nashville's legendary Ryman Auditorium (see below itinerary). Among the tour's certain highlights is a February 2nd homecoming show on the Great Stage of New York City's world famous Radio City Music Hall -- a date which sold out within mere minutes of its announcement. For full details and ticket availability, please see https://ournameisfun.com/tour.

As if that weren't enough, fun. will follow the U.S. tour with an epic international trek that will see them performing in Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, the Netherlands, France, Ireland, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Austria, and the United Kingdom.

fun. recently heralded the release of "Carry On" with a stunning performance of the track on NBC's Saturday Night Live. The song's companion video -- directed by Anthony Mandler (Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Muse) -- is already proving an online favorite, drawing over 4 million individual views at Fueled By Ramen's official YouTube channel, www.youtube.com/FueledByRamen. In addition, "Behind The Scenes" photos chronicling the making of "Carry On" premiere today. Finally, fun.'s SNL performances of both "Carry On" and "Some Nights" can be viewed at the band's official website, www.ournameisfun.com.
