Kid Brother Collective Releases 'Highway Miles
LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts) Growing up near Flint, Michigan in the late 90s and the early turn of the century when the internet was still a babe, things were very different. Discovering music was not easy and we all relied on word of mouth, CD liner notes, MP3.com, or maybe those 10 second real-audio clips. Man, those things were such a tease! But the best resource was always right in our backyard- sometimes not just figuratively speaking. That resource was Kid Brother Collective, formed back in 1997.

They were the staple of the Flint underground, the flag bearer that all other bands would follow and look up to. They packed local venues and basements alike in their day, hit the road a few times, and released 2 LPs and a couple of splits/EPs/Comps before they broke up in 2003. Had they somehow time-warped and started new today, they would easily find footing and fans alike that would truly appreciate them for who they are. Second chances do happen though, and with the re-release of their last LP on Count Your Lucky Stars and Lower Peninsula Records for the first time on vinyl, Highway Miles gives an old band a new chance for welcoming ears.

Highway Miles was originally released in 2003 and it should have already been in your record collection next to similar favorites of its time such as Jimmy Eat World, Texas is the Reason, Mineral, and the Get Up Kids. But we realize there is a good chance it slipped past your radar or maybe you were too young. But whether you are listening to for the first time in a decade or the first time ever, you will love it for years to come.
