Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS (Top40 Charts) Xerxes (Amsterdam, 1993) is the stage name of Khashayar Xerxes Naseri. Born into a musical family of Persian origin, he was fascinated by music from an early age. He realized his passion lay in performing when he saw his cousin Ehsan Naseri score a number one hit record after winning the 2004 edition of Dutch TV talent show Popstars The Rivals. Seeing his cousin's success motivated Xerxes to fully develop his own vocal abilities.
Xerxes writes and produces his own material that can best be described as a unique mix of dance and R&B. By blending in complex R&B melodies, Xerxes' dance tracks are instantly recognizable through their unique sound.. Joined by producer Oliver De La Rosa in 2010, Xerxes launched a YouTube channel that initially featured covers pop and R&B songs.
After the reactions to Xerxes reimagined versions of popular tunes proved overwhelmingly positive, he decided to try his hand at creating original tracks. Aided by De La Rosa, Xerxes wrote and recorded his first single Faith In Our Love that is already receiving rave reviews in the online community. At the moment, Xerxes is hard at work producing and recording his debut album.
When he's not busy writing, producing or performing music, Xerxes studies law in Leiden.
