Golden Gods 2013!
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Roadrunner Records) The fifth annual Revolver Golden Gods Awards will be held on May 2, 2013 in Los Angeles; Metallica will headline, and Stone Sour will also perform. For the first time ever, the event will be broadcast live on national television through AXS TV and broadcast in the US and key international markets through Xbox LIVE and Facebook; tickets are available via Ticketmaster.

The show will be hosted by wrestler Chris Jericho, and fans can vote online to decide who will take home the awards for Best Guitarist (presented by Epiphone), Best Drummer (presented by Drum Workshop), Best Vocalist (presented by Rockstar Energy Drink), Album of the Year (presented by Orange Amplification), Song of the Year, Best Live Band (presented by Samson/Zoom), Best New Talent, Most Metal Athlete (presented by Roadrunner Records), Comeback of the Year, Paul Gray Best Bassist (presented by Dean Markley) and Most Dedicated Fans (presented by Xbox LIVE).

If we may offer a few suggestions:

Alex Lifeson of Rush is up for Best Guitarist;

Mario Duplantier of Gojira, Roy Mayorga of Stone Sour and Neil Peart of Rush are all up for Best Drummer;

Geddy Lee of Rush is up for Best Bassist;

Corey Taylor of Slipknot and Stone Sour is up for Best Vocalist;

Kvelertak are up for Best New Talent;

Slipknot are up for Best Live Band and Most Dedicated Fans;

Gojira's L'Enfant Sauvage and Stone Sour's House of Gold & Bones Part 1 are both up for Album of the Year!

There will also be a 30-city Road to the Golden Gods tour, featuring Stone Sour and In This Moment, that will launch in March and run all the way through the show itself. Dates will be announced very soon.
