The Diamonds Tour 2013 is the fifth solo tour for Rihanna. She made her touring debut in 2006 across North America and followed it up with international tours in 2009 and 2011. Her 2011 year-ending tour promoted songs from her album Loud. In addition, she has regularly featured as guest performer on other tours. In just a few years, her foot-tapping pop and R&B music has won her six Grammies, seven Billboard Music awards and millions of hearts around the world. Unapologetic's lead single Diamonds, after which the upcoming tour is named, made a U.S. chart-topping debut in September 2012. She has a huge fan following on social media sites like Facebook and Twitter, and is considered the top-selling digital artist among her female contemporaries.

Rihanna has invited A$AP Rocky to open her shows on the Diamonds tour. The American rapper is hoping to release his first studio album Long. Live. ASAP sometime in the coming months. These two artistes have previously worked together on the remix of Rihanna's song titled Cockiness (Love It) and the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards, both events proving that they make a great combination in entertaining the crowds. Rihanna fans can look forward to live performances of some of the best songs from her seven albums, including S.O.S., Umbrella, Disturbia, Unfaithful, Don't Stop the Music, and of course, Diamonds.
