American Museum Of Natural History Continues New Season Of One Step Beyond On March 15 With DJ Sets By Chairlift, Party Supplies, And Prince Klassen
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ AMNH Media Relations) The American Museum of Natural History's One Step Beyond party series continues its sixth season with DJ sets by Chairlift, Party Supplies, and Prince Klassen in the Dorothy and Lewis B. Cullman Hall of the Universe on Friday, March 15.

During this ongoing party series, guests can dance in the Museum's Rose Center for Earth and Space to the sounds of the biggest names in techno, electronica, hip-hop, and indie rock. Guests can also enjoy the Hayden Big Bang Theater, located in the lower part of the Hayden Sphere, which features a dynamic multi-media presentation, narrated by acclaimed actor Liam Neeson, that takes visitors on a thrilling four-minute trip from Earth to the edge of the visible universe. Each ticket also includes one pass to the Museum for future use. One Step Beyond is presented with Brightest Young Things.

WHEN: March 15, 2013, 9 pm-1 am
WHO: Chairlift (DJ set), headliner

Based in Brooklyn, Chairlift consists of Caroline Polachek and Patrick Wimberly. They have two albums—Does You Inspire You (2008) and Something (2012), recorded over 18 months between the back of an antique store in Brooklyn and the basement of a family home in Streatham, London. In contrast to Chairlift's debut album's Does You Inspire You pop-dreamscape, created in the dark, after school and work, the band uncovered the songs on Something in the daytime, drinking coffee.

Party Supplies, support: Party Supplies is the sound of Justin Nealis—producer behind critically acclaimed rap collaborations with Action Bronson (Blue Chips) and Danny Brown ("Grown Up"). Joined by multi-instrumentalist Sean Mann, the two write classic rock from the future. Half Chromeo, half Easy Rider, the Brooklyn duo drop blue collar funk, school gym foot-stompers, and yearning city boy ballads over drum machine beats on their forthcoming Fool's Gold debut LP, #RMDNI - Real Mean Don't Need Instructions.

Prince Klassen, opening DJ :After living in Texas, Los Angeles, and Tokyo, Prince Klassen now resides in Brooklyn. His DJ sets range in style, including Hip Hop, House, Club, Cumbia, Disco, New Wave, and Punk. The self-proclaimed cultural ambassador draws from rich institutions of history to pull contrasting mixes and cohesively blend them.

WHERE: American Museum of Natural History. Guests should enter through the Weston Pavilion entrance on Columbus Avenue at 79th Street.

ADMISSION: Admission to One Step Beyond is $25 in advance, $30 day of show. Guests must be 21 and present valid ID. A beer and wine cash bar is available. Advance purchase is recommended. Tickets may be available at the door.

TICKETS: Tickets are available on the Museum's website at www.amnh.org/calendar/one-step-beyond or by calling 212-769-5200, Monday-Friday, 9 am-5 pm.
