New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Genjing Records) Genjing flagship artists Fanzui Xiangfa (犯罪想法) are going on a domestic tour, their first in four years. It kicks off Fri, Mar 1 in Wuhan and will cover 13 cities before its termination on Fri, Mar 22 with a gig at Beijing's Temple Bar.
Formed in
Spring 2006 in Beijing's Wudaokou District by a core of like-minded punk vets with a common desire to do something in a scene where "do nothing" had become an ever-present mantra, the band quickly became a fixture at venues around the capital's live music scene with a series of hard-hitting gigs at 13 Club, 2 Kolegas, the New What, Nameless
Highland and D-22, the now-seminal live music venue that launched the careers of some of the country's most well-known independent musicians.
Seven years, four releases, two international tours and several lineup shifts later, the band continues to relentlessly embody the DIY ethic in an atmosphere of creative fun, empowering people to take control of their own lives and to actively create the world of which they dream.
Their most recent release, a self-titled 7", was released in Summer 2011 on Genjing Records.
