Rhode Island Alt-Rockers, The Complaints Set To Play NYC On March 28, 2013
Los Angeles, CA (Top40 Charts/ Wifi PR Group) Rhode Island Rockers, The Complaints have announced their first New York appearance of 2013 to be at The Red Lion on March 28th.The Complaints are a popular rock band from Rhode Island that perform over 200 shows a year.Their latest single "South Side Suicide" was mixed by the legendary Chris Lord-Alge at his Mix LA studio in Los Angeles. The song will also be featured on the upcoming compilation "Indie Anthems" which is produced by the WiFi PR Group to showcase new artists they have recently signed to their client roster. WiFi plans to distribute the single as a digital release at the upcoming music industry events including SXSW in Austin, Texas in March.

The Complaints are: Dean Petrella (Vocals/Guitar), Chris Cruz (Bass/Vocals) and Anthony Marotti (Drums/Vocals). They are a well established alternative rock band in Rhode Island playing 3-5 shows a week and over 200 shows a year throughout the East Coast. Through their constant touring they have been attracting listeners in both the local and college music scenes for the past decade. Their latest release, South Side Suicide, is currently being promoted to college radio.

Their popularity in New England as one of the best rocks acts have earned them some high accolades, including being voted Alternative Rock Band of The Year in Motif Magazine (New England's #1 Magazine). They have also won awards for their songwriting and live performances including the Newport Singer/Songwriter Award, Album of the Year in the Providence Phoenix Best Music Poll 2000 and Best Male Alternative Vocalist in the 2009 Motif Magazine best Music Poll. Complaints music was also featured on the MTV show Undressed and on many college and AAA radio stations across the country. They have also showcased at CMJ in NYC and PMC/Philadelphia.

In addition to their awards and nods of recognition in the music community, they have also shared the stage with many platinum selling artists including, Sugar Ray, Collective Soul, 3 Doors Down, Train, Nickelback, Guster, Candlebox, Guster, The Tubes, 10,000 Maniacs, Dave Davies of the Kinks and many other national acts.

Musically, The Complaints are a reflection of an eclectic mix of their influences, often being compared to the high energy sounds of Kings of Leon, Pearl Jam and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Their song-writing draws comparisons to Rob Thomas (Matchbox 20), Tom Petty and Elvis Costello.

When asked about what has influenced their song-writing, Dean Petrella the band's lead singer and principal songwriter cited serious issues like, "the loss of loved ones and friends. South Side Suicide (the band's recent single) was sparked by multiple tragic losses of close friends."

The Complaints plan to continue recording music, promoting the new "South Side Suicide" single to radio and touring, which has included playing over 200 shows a year for over a decade, a consistent feat the band feels is one of their greatest musical accomplishments.

They will kick off the new year by playing their first New York show of 2013 on March 28th, 2013 at Red Lion located at 151 Bleecker St, NYC, NY. Showtime is at 8pm and tickets are $5 at the door. For more information on live dates visit their website at: https://www.thecomplaints.com
