New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) Aoife O'Donovan, called "a vocalist of unerring instinct" and "as sophisticated as they come" by the NY Times, will perform a pair of full-band shows at SXSW next week before kicking off a spring tour that includes dates with The Milk Carton Kids and the Dave
Douglas Sextet, in addition to her Bonnaroo debut.
O'Donovan, who's spent the last 10 years playing in the celebrated progressive string band Crooked Still and collaborating with artists as diverse as Alison Krauss, Chris Thile, and Yo-Yo Ma among others, signed with Yep Roc Records earlier this year and will release her debut solo album, produced by Tucker Martine, in June.
