Shanghai-based Metal Band "Death To Giants" Releases Debut Album
SHANGHAI, CHINA (Top40 Charts) Death to Giants(去死巨人乐队), an experimental metal from Shanghai, officially released their debut album, "Blood Pours Out"《血肉横飞》on March 3rd. The hardcore band consists of Nichols(五毛), a multi-instrumentalist who plays guitar, flute and other offbeat instruments, and Ivan (叶文), the drummer. Both Nichols and Ivan provide the thrilling vocals to their tracks.

Previously performing as members of Shanghai bands such as Rainbow Danger Club and Moon Tyrant, both Nichols and Ivan are veterans of the Chinese music scene. After "Death to Giants" was formed, the band created its own flavor of music by drawing from thrash metal, Bop, Math Rock, Pop, punk and electronic. They branded this crazy concoction "Death Style". In their words, however, they are just trying to create music with a bass, a set of drums, and two sets of awesome vocals.

"Blood Pours Out" consists of 10 songs, spanning a total of 25 minutes. The singles feature strong Shanghai-pride and carry clear influences from the duo's hometown. With all singles recorded in a single day, the album is highly improvised and captures the spirit of DtG's love for jam sessions. Since singles vary greatly, it is hard to pinpoint the album's specific genre. "30 Extra Live", for example, features the same phrases repeated over again and again. "Ugghhh", on the other hand, uses simple, relatable lyrics that attract a wide range of audience. The album's last song, "Sick and Elastic", showcases Ivan's skills in a drum solo and Nichols guitar improvisation.

Fans of Death to Giants can buy their album right now. They can also purchase the album on DTG's bandcamp site online. If you spend a little extra to buy the "enhanced" version, you'll also receive extra content that you don't want to miss. Be sure to check it out.
