Yeah Yeah Yeahs Live In Manchester, UK
LONDON, UK (Top40 Charts/ Live Music Manchester) Surely a band who need no introduction, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs have been regulars on the indie circuit since 2000. Not only are they the band that can never seem to put a step wrong, they also incorporate probably the finest front woman around, Karen O.

After working hard and continuously touring, a turning point for the band was in 2007 when 'Show Your Bones', debuted at Number 11 in the U.S. and Number 7 in the U.K. Not only did this earn the band a Grammy nomination, it catapulted them into oblivion. By this time, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs were headlining festivals around the world and their members were also pursuing side projects in their spare time. There was not an indie disco in town that wasn't playing their records, and six years later that is still the case.

Continuously pushing boundaries with every new record, album, video and live tour, Yeah Yeah Yeahs always have a finger before the pulse and set the trends as opposed to follow them.

The group's music moulds genres ranging from art punk and garage rock to electronic and new wave. Karen O is known for her screaming, bluesy vocals and energetic stage presence, complemented by her outrageously colorful costumes. Crisp rhythms and ominous keyboards link their hip-swinging blues, their funk-rock and the grinding garage - the Yeah Yeah Yeahs sound is unmistakable and their live shows really need to be seen to be believed.

As confrontational as Siouxsie Sioux and as sensual as Debbie Harry, Karen O has a theatrical playfulness all her own and time after time encapsulates the bands captive audience into a world where anything is possible.

Wednesday 1st May 2013 will see the Yeah Yeah Yeahs bring down the roof at one on Manchester oldest live music venues, rich with a history of legendary live performances, the Apollo.
