Juanes To Go One-On-One With SiriusXM Listeners During SiriusXM's "Town Hall"
New York, NY (Top40 Charts / Sirius XM Radio) Sirius XM Radio (NASDAQ: SIRI) today announced that Latin superstar Juanes will sit down for an intimate Q&A session with an audience of SiriusXM listeners, moderated by fellow musician, actor and activist Ruben Blades , at the SiriusXM studios in New York City as part of its "Town Hall" series.

Moderated by Blades, the "Town Hall" special will feature Juanes answering questions in front of an intimate audience of SiriusXM subscribers about his musical career and personal experiences - from his upbringing in Colombia and early days as founding member and front man for hard rock band Ekhymosis, through his multi-platinum solo career, work as a global social activist, and the writing of his upcoming book, Chasing the Sun.

"We are thrilled to have Juanes and Ruben Blades together for this special SiriusXM 'Town Hall,'" said Scott Greenstein , President and Chief Content Officer, SiriusXM. "Our event will give SiriusXM listeners the opportunity to witness the special chemistry between two of the Spanish-speaking world's most accomplished musicians as Juanes discusses his musical journey."

"SiriusXM's Town Hall with Juanes," which will take place on Thursday, April 4, will air on SiriusXM Caliente channel 150, and SiriusXM Viva channel 500, on Friday, April 5 at 4:00 pm. All times are ET. For rebroadcast times, please visit www.siriusxm.com/townhall.

The special is part of SiriusXM's "Town Hall" series, intimate gatherings with iconic musicians, entertainers and figures and a studio audience of SiriusXM listeners. Previous "SiriusXM Town Hall" specials have featured Bruce Springsteen , Willie Nelson , Tom Petty, Taylor Swift, Jason Aldean, Aerosmith, Coldplay, Ringo Starr , Roger Waters, Gregg Allman, Linkin Park, Crosby, Stills and Nash, Ziggy Marley and the surviving members of Nirvana.

SiriusXM listeners will have the chance to attend "SiriusXM's Town Hall with Juanes" on April 4, 2013. Ruben Blades is an Emmy-nominated actor, ten-time Latin Grammy® Award-winning singer/songwriter, lawyer and activist. He has produced landmark albums known for their fusion of influences including rock, jazz, pan-Latin, and other genres; his songs are known for their eloquence, politically-charged lyrics, and memorable melodies. Blades holds degrees in law from the University of Panama and Harvard Law School . He was named U.N. World Ambassador Against Racism in 2000. In 2006, the President of Chile awarded him the Pablo Neruda Order of Cultural Merit and, in 2010, the President of Ecuador honored him with the Orden Nacional al Mérito Cultural. He holds Honorary Doctorate degrees from Berkeley University in California, Lehman College in the Bronx, and the Berklee College of Music in Boston. The Loeb Music Library at Harvard University recently formed The Ruben Blades Archives with the purpose of collecting his work and papers.
