New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) Violinist Nicola Benedetti continues her streak of high-profile performances and international accolades in 2013, with her new Decca album 'The
Silver Violin' out now in the United States. 'The
Silver Violin' - which features the Korngold Violin Concerto as its centerpiece and celebrates violin music from great film scores - was the first solo instrumental album in decades to top the U.K.'s classical charts and enter the Top 30 pop charts.
The success of 'The
Silver Violin' - named U.K. iTunes "2012 Best Female Classical Album of the Year" - is just the latest achievement in 25-year-old Benedetti's distinguished career, which the Metro U.K. describes as "the reward for a singular talent honed by a life of dedication."
