James Bond 50th Anniversary Celebration Continues With Universal Music Enterprises' Release Of Three Classic Bond Soundtracks On Vinyl & High Resolution Digital Audio
Los Angeles, CA (Top40 Charts/ Universal Music Enterprises) This year marks the 50th anniversary of the release of the soundtrack to DR. NO, the first James Bond film in the longest running franchise in the history of cinema. With the most recent Bond film, SKYFALL, from Albert R. Broccoli's EON Productions, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios and Sony Pictures Entertainment, surpassing one billion dollars in worldwide box office, the demand for Bond continues with every generation. New fans, as well as longtime collectors, can celebrate with Universal Music Enterprises' April 16 (North America) and May 6 (UK and international) release of the original soundtrack recordings for 1962's DR. NO, 1964's GOLDFINGER, and 1973's LIVE AND LET DIE, which marks its 40th anniversary, on remastered 180-gram LPs, returning all three to vinyl after many years out-of-print.

DR. NO, GOLDFINGER and LIVE AND LET DIE will be reissued on 180-gram vinyl with replicated original LP art, and, in the U.S., GOLDFINGER and LIVE AND LET DIEwill also be released for the first time in high resolution digital audio, exclusively on HDtracks.com. Both classic soundtracks have been remastered in high resolution to make Master Quality files available for download purchase from HDtracks in AIFF, ALAC, WAV and FLAC formats.

DR. NOwas the first installment in the James Bond legacy, based on the famous Ian Fleming novels. The original soundtrack for DR. NO was released in 1963 and features The John Barry Orchestra and Monty Norman. Included is the signature, instrumental James Bond theme, which remains one of the most recognizable themes from film and is a constant in every Bond movie.
