New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Western Publicity) Nashville chanteuse Courtney Jaye lost her battle with pop music while preparing her upcoming album "Love and Forgiveness" and it's great news for music fans everywhere. "I'm done apologizing for writing big songs - I don't want to be afraid of that," says Nashville-‐based singer/songwriter Courtney Jaye. "I've always wanted to find a way to not be afraid of pop," she adds. "That's the music I love."
American Songwriter got in on the action, featuring "One Way Conversation" this week, a song Jay co-wrote with singer/songwriter Thad Cockrell of LEAGUES. Steeped in rhythms inspired by Levon Helm of The Band, Jaye belts the tune with sass and style, backed by an all star band that includes Neal Casal on guitar, Greg Leisz on pedal steel and
Wallflowers percussionist Fred Eltringham on drums.

Jaye is spinning into action as the release draws near, with a tour with comedian/singer/songwriter
Stephen Lynch as an integral of his band."Singing and touring with
Stephen Lynch is a little dream come true. Never in a million years would I have the courage to write songs as brash, vulgar and honest as he writes - yet I get to sing them (while blushing uncontrollably), and be part of a show that makes people laugh for 2 hours straight." The tour is natural fit as Jaye has provided a demure foil to Lynch's bawdiness on his last album, Lion. In addition, Jaye is booked for live sessions with Relix, Daytrotter and Billboard, so look for that coverage coming soon, as well as ink in Blurt, No Depression, Great American Country online and a slew of other music mags.

Love and Forgiveness is an organic and rootsy album that recalls the classic 70s-‐inspired pop of her heroes Neil Young,
Linda Ronstadt and Fleetwood Mac. Born in Pittsburgh and growing up in musically rich settings of Athens, GA, Flagstaff, AZ, Austin, Southern California, and even Hawaii (Kauai to be exact) before settling in Nashville, Jaye's musical palette is fueled by her immersion in the regional sounds and scenes she's experienced. Along the way, she has collaborated with the likes of Ben Bridwell (Band of Horses), Matthew Sweet and members of
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. That broad range of experience and musical interests comes together beautifully on Love and Forgiveness.
