New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) "Every so often, a prisoner I've played for will show up at one of my shows, and that's a wonderful thing," Chip Taylor told Engine 145 of the inspiration for some of the songs on his new album, 'Block Out The Sirens Of This Lonely World.'
The title track was influenced by an inmate named Tilian who Chip met at a prison performance overseas, while many other songs were written in the aftermath of the 2011 summer camp shootings in Norway, a country where Chip recorded tours frequently and recorded the new album.
