LONDON, UK (Top40 Charts/ Melodic Revolution Records) UK rock band The Room and US actress Hunter Tylo together on US radio on 31st May, to share their experiences of Childhood Eye Cancer and how it inspired "Screaming Through The Noise"
UK crossover progressive rock band The Room have been invited by Take 2
Radio Music to give their first live US radio interview, on Friday 31st May, about their critically acclaimed album "Open Fire", forthcoming gigs and festivals, and their debut video which releases on May 28th .
The video is for their song "Screaming Through The Noise" which was written about the emotional journey travelled by The Room's lead singer
Martin Wilson and his family, when their son lost his sight as a result of Retinoblastoma (childhood eye cancer). The band want to help raise awareness of the dreadful condition and give hope to others. Martin's son has grown into a mischievous young man and a confident A1 student.
When popular US actress Hunter Tylo (star of "The Bold and the Beautiful" and many other hit TV series) heard the song and the backstory to it, she said she would love to join the show and share her own experiences, as her 15 year old daughter Katya was diagnosed with retinoblastoma as an infant. This is a very important issue to her and her family which she has spoken openly and
publicly about. She understands how it will have affected Martin's family and immediately identified with the song and wanted to help.

Retinoblastoma (Rb) is a rare form of cancer which affects the retina of children, predominantly under the age of five years and it represents 3% of childhood cancers in the UK. Children affected by the disease can suffer from loss of vision, removal of their
affected eye(s) and, in some cases, total blindness.
