LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts/ Earshot Media) San Diego rockers, SECRETS, will follow up their 2012 breakthrough LP, The Ascent, with the sophomore effort, Fragile Figures, which was produced by Tom Denney (ex- A Day To Remember). The LP will be released July 23rd via Velocity/Rise Records and pre-orders launch on Monday, June 10 through MerchNow. The band will also unveil the music video for the lead single, "Ready For Repair" on June 10.
Armed with irresistibly catchy choruses, soaring vocals, mercilessly dynamic breakdowns, and a killer live show, SECRETS quickly caught on with post-hardcore fans around the globe. The Ascent (also produced by Denney) debuted at #3 on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart and became the first Velocity Records release to crack the Billboard Top 200, debuting at #185. The new LP, Fragile Figures (their first with new frontman Aaron Melzer, formerly with the band Author & Finisher) appears to be on track for similar success.
Melzer says, "I felt a lot of pressure to step up and fill the shoes as the new vocalist, and when all was said and done, I couldn't be more proud of how this record turned out. I wish we could release it tomorrow, I'm so excited to show this to the world."
Guitarist/vocalist Richard Rogers echoes, "We've really grown up a lot since The Ascent and I feel like this record is a true reflection of who we really are. Plus I sing a lot more on this record so of course I'm excited to release it."
Having logged countless miles on the road with the likes of Sleeping With Sirens, Escape The Fate and Memphis May Fire, and as part of the lineup on last year's Scream It Like You Mean It, SECRETS is no stranger to the touring life. This summer, the boys will return to the Vans Warped Tour from July 6-21.
