"Effected voice, melodic synths with a Nineties sound, a prominent bass which is protagonist of a typical dance / house groove. These are the elements that characterize the sound of Misleading Disclosure EP by the Bicycle Beat.
Midi, Pornography, Time For Sex and Fashion Salamandra bring us back in time since first notes through the warm sound of analog machines, maybe because they are really played (which is rare on these days), so the result that comes out is something very far from the "cold" sequences of 0 and 1 which characterize the present of digital music.
Although turning back to the present could be traumatic, it has been made pleasant by Pittsburgh Track Authority and Josip Klobucar, the authors of the two remixes that complete the EP.The first takes us very slowly to the present with a soft reinterpretation of Pornography, where the reworking of voice, made almost part of the pad sound, seems to discover a sweetness before hidden by the hard groove. The second almost projects us into the future thanks to the recomposition of Fashion Salamandra in a beat style.
At the end we can only thank them for this time travel. A trip in which They transmit to us, to each note, their passion for music.
