New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Yo! Promotions) Emerging North Carolina rap prodigy Hype Pacino, formerly known as Lil Hype, is aiming to keep the Hip-Hop pulse alive by readying himself to drop his eagerly awaited mixtape, "Hood Star 2", hosted by southern heavyweight Bigga Rankin.
"My 'Hood Star 2' mixtape is angled towards the streets, but it has a commercial appeal as well. It has a nice feel and I have been getting a lot of positive feedback. This is what the people have been waiting for!" says Hype Pacino.
"Hood Star 2" is the evolutionary follow-up to Hype Pacino's first installment in his street certified "Hood Star" mixtape series. Having officially collaborated with superstars such as
Playaz Circle member 2 Chainz, former
G-Unit rapper Young Buck, Atlantic Records signee Alley Boy, southern rap freshman Young Scooter, and
State Property affiliate Young Chris, shows that Hype Pacino is a force to be reckoned with in the urban music landscape.
Already bending ears and bleeding the music critic's pen to praise and high regard, "Hood Star 2" offers street gritty and back to back block burning singles that Hype Pacino is known for.
Hype Pacino is next in line when it comes to being the next breakthrough artist from North Carolina, following Roc Nation rapper J. Cole, So So Def founder Jermaine Dupri, former Death Row Records signee Petey Pablo, and beatsmith 9th Wonder, who are all hailing from the North Cak.
The North Cak Representa, one of Hype Pacino's rap monikers, is not only a breakout rapper, but also an aspiring entrepreneur who is running his own independent label, illest Records, with his partner Shine.
"Hood Star 2" will be available for download this summer!
